When it comes to the old saying, riding is believing, it couldn't be more true for the Sentinel. This bike will scramble your brain as to how capable it is, how rowdy it can get, yet how composed it is as an all-around trail bike. The Sentinel has amazed critics and earned the title of one of the most downhill attacking long travel 29ers available. But, don't let all that monster truck talk fool you into thinking this is a one trick pony, the Sentinel delivers going up and down thanks to Transition’s Speed Balanced Geometry. Sure Transition could spend days ranting on and on about how much they love this bike and all its technical features, but it would be a lot easier if you just throw a leg on one and take it for a ride.

The Sentinel Carbon GX sits right in the middle of Transition’s product line as a workhorse spec that gives you all the important parts you need on a carbon frameset at a great price. For suspension, you get a similar Fox DPX2 Performance rear shock found on our XO1 build kit as well as the always impressive Fox 36 with the new Grip damper. For the drivetrain, 12spd GX Eagle has a massive range (50-10 tooth) for getting you up super steep climbs. The build continues to punch above its weight class by offering 4 piston Code R brakes for superior stopping power and fade resistance, Stans Flow S1 comp complete wheelset, and Transition’s favourite 3C Maxxis Minion tyres. Transition purposely built this spec so you didn't need to upgrade a single part on this bike, just set and forget.

Technical Information
Speed Balanced Geometry:
SBG ensures the bike maintains low speed agility, front wheel traction, and proper rider weight balance while actually increasing confidence in steep terrain and at high speeds. With SBG, a slacker head tube angle is combined with an all new reduced offset fork standard, preventing the front wheel from being too far in front of the rider. This improves front to rear weight distribution on the bike, which is often out of balance on long and slack bikes. One of SBG's greatest benefits is that it creates a confident steering feel that adapts to wheel speed. More stability when going fast, more agility on technical slow speed manoeuvring as well as improved traction, control and confidence for any skill level of rider.

GiddyUp 2.0HH Suspension:
Take Transition’s successful GiddyUp suspension system, add one part increased pedalling efficiency, two parts wider sag range, and three parts increased small bump sensitivity, and you get GiddyUp 2.0HH. Incredible pedalling performance balanced with a superb neutral, comfortable and fun feel that Transition are known for.

Transition specifically tuned the suspension with a moderate amount of chain growth which is highest at the sag point and decreasing deeper into the travel. Because of this finely tuned wheel path, there is a notable increase in traction when climbing, without the rider noticing the chain growth fighting the suspension movement.

GiddyUp 2.0HH is extremely easy to setup and it provides excellent support throughout the entire stroke of the shock so you can use all your travel without worrying about bottom out. Designed to be active while climbing, rear shock climbing platforms are not necessary. The suspension remains free to smooth out the trail, improve traction and control without sacrificing efficiency. With GiddyUp 2.0HH you can focus on the trail, no remotes, levers or knobs. Just grab your bike and GiddyUp.

At Triton Cycles we aim to provide a returns service that is simple and hassle-free.

Should you need to return anything to us, it is very important that you telephone us first to advise us of your intention and the reason why you wish to return the goods. If you're not completely satisfied with an item you may return it within 14 days of purchase, and as long as the item isn't fitted or used we're happy to receive it back for a refund or exchange. Return shipping costs in this instance are non-refundable.

If the item is being returned as a result of our error i.e. damaged, defective, wrong item sent etc, we will refund Royal Mail First Class or Standard Parcel postage costs. If this is the case please include a copy of your purchase receipt when you return the goods for inspection. Please DO NOT sign for goods if you think that they are damaged, or the packaging has been tampered with. Instead, refuse to accept the delivery and contact us immediately(within 3 working days) so that we can take the matter up with our courier. Replacements will be sent to you as soon as possible. Signing for goods later found to be unacceptably damaged in transit complicates negotiations with the courier in dealing with your complaint. However, if a minor component is missing or broken(e.g. a reflector) please DO NOT return the whole bike. Simply contact us and we will replace the part as soon as possible. Please DO NOT discard any original packaging until you are fully satisfied with your purchase. Should you need to return a bicycle, couriers will not transport a machine not in the original or suitable packaging. Warranty Claims: All goods purchased from Triton are covered by a full warranty and generally covers manufacturing faults and defects including poor workmanship. If you think your item is faulty and would like to make a warranty claim then please phone/email us before returning any goods - we may be able to solve your problem without you incurring any postage costs.
