Columbus Futura Caliper 1 1/2 Tapered Fork

Road-race. Specific. Performance. Futura Caliper is the most updated creation of Columbus Carbon Lab department for the lovers of the traditional caliper-brake. The all-new Futura range completes its offer with an exclusive fork, designed for the rider, starting from bike-geometry and biomechanics requirements and needs. In fact, Futura Caliper is the only oversize 1-1/2” tapered fork with multiple-rake: 45 and 50mm options allow the cyclist, and even before him, the frame builder, to properly complete their bicycles with the proper geometry and solutions, according to body requirements, sizes and riding style. Realised using ultra-light aerospace carbon fibre, Futura Caliper offers an extremely sharp riding experience thanks to its oversized sections and shapes, designed for an overall weight-reduction of the structure, enhancing its stiffness and precision while cornering. The streamlined tapered front section, together with the curvilinear geometry of the blades, minimise aerodynamic resistance, granting a good vibration-dumping attitude, where, the overall aesthetic result, enhance Futura Caliper capability to perfectly match and complete the most updated carbon fibre frames as well as the new-generation hi-performance steel, alu and titanium designs.

Columbus Futura Gravel Carbon Fork

On-Road, Off-Road, All-Roads!Futura Gravel is the newest solution to the growing hybridisation of road race and outdoor worlds, merging urban with nature, for all those cyclists in search or an all-round fork strongly declinable in contexts and uses. From white roads to single-tracks, from unpaved paths to cityscapes, Futura Gravel allows a very wide range of possible uses, thanks to its specific geometries and features. Oversized clearances and spaces, grants the compatibility with knobby tyres up to 40mm, able to face the most demanding off-road conditions. If used in wet conditions, adventurers and commuters can benefit of Futura’s capability to host mudguards, thanks to its integrated hidden eyelets, maintaining enough clearance to roll up to 35mm tyres even while using mudguards. Whether on-road or off-road, dry or wet, disc brake guarantees performance and reliability: designed around the latest flat-mount & thru-axle standards, Futura Gravel grants the possibility to host up to 160mm rotors, for a very powerful braking experience. The tapered 1-1/4” steerer optimises riding stability, matching the benefits of oversized lightweight sections to the capability to absorb and map even the most impervious trails, while, in terms of aesthetic, matches perfectly both the carbon-fibre as well as steel, alu and titanium frames, with standard or oversized tubes and dimensions. Finally, the 380mm axle-to-crown fork height, ensures a lower centre of gravity, enhancing stability and proportions on a wider range of frame sizes and geometries.
