Surly ExtraTerrestrial Tyre 27.5

When you’re out on a ride the last thing you want is to be limited by your tyres in any way. Our ExtraTerrestrial Tyres were designed to let you ride without limits by simply following the only tenets we have for tyre design: they’re high volume and they kick ass. The ExtraTerrestrial tyre was meant to serve as a heavy-duty off-road touring tyre that shines on hardpack surfaces. It uses a nylon breaker in the sidewalls for cut protection, a moulded pattern for anti-cut propagation, and a Aramid cap under the tread to protect against flats. The ET Tyre uses a distinctly directional tread pattern and its width yields more traction than you might expect from a tyre with such little rolling resistance. The tread is low profile with a file tread in between tread blocks. The ExtraTerrestrial tyre has enough width and traction for the soft stuff and won’t bog you down on smooth or hard surfaces.

Surly ExtraTerrestrial Tyre 700c

The ExtraTerrestrial is a 700c tyre with a very directional tread that offers a great balance between decreased rolling resistance and reliable traction. It shines on hardpack surfaces giving you plenty of traction in corners and on off camber stuff. The ET would be at home doing a long distance tour in S. America, or a pedal from S. Minneapolis through the River Bottoms.   We found it to be a good commuter tyre as well, especially if your commute takes you on mixed surfaces.

Surly Dirt Wizard 29 Tyre

Off Road 29 x 2.6" Mountain Bike tyres that are well suited to difficult UK conditions. The Surly Dirt Wizard is highly focused - one might even say spellbound – on providing traction and control on the kinds of surfaces where neither traction nor control are to be found. Its tread is composed of a dual row of aggressive, trail-gobbling, bevelled knobs in the centre and well-spaced, siped knobs to dig into loose corners. Designed to work on wider rims, Dirt Wizards are tall and wide, providing next-level traction and cushioning. The casings are flexible and responsive, yet durable and supportive. Minimum rim size for these naughty little wizards is a 35mm outer rim width. And if those black sidewalls aren't mesmerizing enough, we've made a grey sidewall option you can summon up. Surly Dirt Wizard tyres are also available in 27.5 x 2.8" size, search: Dirt Wizard 27.5 Tyre Or also in 'Plus' (3") sizes 27.5 x 3" and 29 x 3" Search: Dirt Wizard 27.5 Plus Tyre or Dirt Wizard 29 plus Tyre for more information.

Surly Knard 700 x 41c TLR Tyre

Tubeless Ready version of the Surly Knard The Knard is a tyre that just makes sense. With its tightly-spaced, low-block tread pattern, it provides the perfect ratio of traction and low rolling resistance. It grips well on all sorts of different surfaces and will haul some sausage on hardpack terrain or groomed trails. If you want a tyre that has a little less bite and a bit more speed, but don’t want to sacrifice traction, look no further.
