Box Components Oversized Carbon Tapered Headset

There is more to Box carbon headsets than their striking good looks. From top to bottom, the Box One™ Carbon Tapered Headset was designed to perform.Each unit features a custom CNC-machined aluminium compression cap in the shape of the Box logo with cut-outs to reduce weight.At the centre of the top cap is an anodized aluminium bolt that threads into a gold anodized aluminium expander plug. This expander eliminates the need for a star nut and works with all 1-1/8-inch steerer tubes—even carbon fibre steerer tubes.The top bearing cover is crafted from carbon fibre, which adds style and shave weight.At the heart of the headset are two super-smooth, titanium-nitride coated, sealed, 45×45 bearings. The titanium coating results in a low friction coefficient, increased corrosion resistance, and smoother rolling bearings.A split crown race makes installation and removal from forks super easy. Box 1.5-inch headsets are intended for tapered frames and forks and include an adapter crown race that allows you to run a fork with a straight 1-1/8-inch steerer tube.  

Box Components One Oversized M35 Crankset

All Box One M35 cranksets are engineered and crafted using our Oversized Technology. we all know that there is no use pushing hard on your pedals if you can’t deliver most of that power to the rear wheel. During the creation of our cranks, we were obsessed with Power delivery AKA pedalling stiffness. To reduce lateral deflection at the bottom bracket we chose to enlarge the spindle and the crank arm’s interfaces. We robbed material from unloaded sections to reinforce these zones of high stress. Not only are you going to be more efficient with power delivery, but you’ll also feel the instant response of acceleration. Seen through another lens, less energy will be required to achieve the same elapsed time. The Box One M35 crankset takes the oversized spindle action to an extreme with a colossal 35mm diameter cross-section courtesy of Praxis™. That dimension might seem massive, but we’ve also employed the use of cold-forged 7075 T6 aluminium. That's an alloy that delivers low mass but that also flirts with the toughness of steel. We then grind that spindle with the kind exactitude you’d expect from medical equipment. The very prominent crank arms are hollow-forged with much of the wall thicknesses pushed to high-stress zones. A stabilizer ring acts as an anti-twist brace between spider legs. A precision CNC-machined Chromoly/alloy self-extracting crank bolt system secures the package. Remember, you’ll need a modern frame to cope with this kind of technology.

All Box One and Two cranksets are engineered and crafted using our Oversized Technology. Seen through another lens, less energy will be required to achieve the same elapsed time. The Box One M30 crankset is just as tyrannical as its big brother the Box One M35. Since it's designed for the smaller rider the now 30mm spindle is as extreme to a smaller rider as the 35mm is to a burly world champion. The crank arms are hollow-forged but reduced in size for their application. It is possible to add too much stiffness that the rider will not feel the benefit. Going beyond that point simply adds material which is surplus weight. We’ve removed the stabiliser rings from the spider and removed unneeded material from its legs. These cranks are engineered for the smaller-sized racer. IMPORTANT NOTES: BB86 frames require Praxis™ part 86-4001B or 86-4001W. BB30/PF30 frames require Praxis™ part 68-4001R or 68-5401R. T47 frames require Praxis™ part 47-0000. Do not use pedal washers when installing pedals onto these cranks. M30-M cranks were designed to be used without pedal washers

Box One™ Chain Tensioners are extruded then CNC-machined from 7075 aluminum for an optimal balance of strength and weight. A minimalist design adds style while reducing their overall mass. Laser-etched graphics include wheel position guides and two 10mm mounting holes with 15mm of adjustment to ensure perfect adjustability. Fits most frames every time you remove and replace your wheel. When used correctly, Box One tensioners will protect your frame dropouts and hold your rear wheel in place. Keep in mind. However, they aren’t indestructible (neither are your dropouts). Install these lightweight chain tensioners with care and leave the 15-inch breaker bar in your toolbox.   Sold as pair

Compatible with 2 types of dropouts and 3-10mm hubs, the Box Disc Brake Adapter goes over your hub’s axle and mates with the frame’s dropout in the right configurations allowing mounting of a standard post mount disc brake calliper.

Box Two™, 24mm External Bottom Brackets, are designed to fit all 24-millimetre crank spindles and frames with 68 or 73 x BC 1.37-inch BSA threaded bottom bracket shells.
