The 2x is designed to work seamlessly with the new wave of 2x9/10/11 drivetrains being specified on many new mountain bikes. These drivetrains created new challenges to chain management with their unique gear ratios, chain lines, and impact protection requirements. The 2x solves all of these challenges. To create the 2x guide, MRP began the process of applying their range of technologies and systems to find the optimal solution for 2x drivetrains, and through collaboration with SRAM and extensive testing it was decided that the ultimate light weight solution was a chain guide sharing elements of the G2sl, LRP, and XCG products. Notable is the absence of an outer capture ring on the cranksets, relying on the front derailleur and lower pulley assembly for complete chain retention. MRP's design goals are driven by the passion to design and produce products that allow riders to just ride - not worrying about chain damage or dropping a chain.The integrated skid protects the chainrings from impacts without the added weight of a full bash ring. The dual pulley tensioning system ensures that the chain is properly tensioned and in the right position, keeping it on the chainring in the roughest conditions. The dual pulleys also reduce drag and noise compared to other designs, ensuring a better riding experience. Finally, the raised top fin profile prevents the chain from dropping to the BB shell.  

MRP Ramp Control Upgrade Cartridge

MRP’s Ramp Control cartridges are designed to fit RockShox forks with 35mm stanchions. This upgrade threads into the air spring on Pike, Yari, Lyrik and Boxxer forks and allows the user to dial in the amount of progression in the fork without resorting to adding or subtracting RockShox’s bottomless tokens. Adjustments add between 1 (fully open) to 4 tokens worth of adjustment (Fully closed). 16 clicks give roughly 20% of one token per click in Rock Shox forks.CUSTOM TUNE ON THE TRAILUndoubtedly, convenience is one of the biggest benefits of the ramp control cartridge versus internally accessed volume adjustment components. Internally accessed spacers aren’t that friendly to on-trail experimentation and tuning – requiring bulky tools and a clean environment to utilise. With Ramp Control, experimentation is so simple it’s encouraged! The powerful range of Ramp Control is harnessed through a simple 16-position knob with clearly defined detents. That enables you to arrive at your base setting in just one ride on a familiar trail, whereas internally accessed spacers would necessitate a trial and error approach – several rides followed by garage or shop sessions – to get to the same point.A BETTER WAY TO TUNEThe volume adjustment spacers used by competing brands change the shape of the air-spring’s curve throughout the entire travel range, regardless of velocity. Aside from the slight change resulting from volume of the cartridge itself, the Ramp Control upgrade effects only the ending stroke spring curve – as its damping effect is velocity dependant. This portion of the curve represents intense, sharp hits and big events, like landing a sizeable drop or ploughing through a rock garden. Without Ramp Control, your forks behaviour in these circumstances has been compromised by your desired feel elsewhere in the stroke. With Ramp Control, you can tune the general feel of your fork through its air pressure and damper settings, and isolate big hit performance and bottom-out with Ramp Control adjustment.NO MORE COMPROMISES, TUNE TO THE TRAIL AT HANDUnless you ride just one trail, the air-spring volume you’ve so carefully tuned with internally-accessed volume spacers is probably not ideal for all your adventures. A trip to the bike park might reveal, for example, that more support would be welcomed when the features ad drops get bigger and trails get steeper than those found on your local go-to. If you have extra spacers and the necessary tools on hand, and don’t mind burning time that could otherwise be spent riding the lift accessed terrain you just paid for, you could get the needed support. Building on their integrated guard patent*, MRP will begin shipping a new, innovative series of components designed to protect chainrings and cranks from damage due to the occasional rock or log encounter. The XCG guards consist of a replaceable polycarbonate Skid direct-mounted to a 4mm thick alloy back plate.Lots of cross country riders don't want to give up their big ring in exchange for a crank-mounted bash guard, nor do they want to add a large, heavy bash ring on top of an outer chainring. With an XCG, you can keep the big chainring on and not worry about damaging it on obstacles. The XCG is light weight, and costs a lot less than replacing a high quality 44T ring, so it's a great accessory for the fast and technically aggressive XC rider or for any rider looking to protect their investment.The XCG Triple install easily on any XC frame and add no rotational weight to the drivetrain. OEM deliveries of the XCG Series begin in April, with aftermarket introduction soon following.
