Available from under 1500g for a pair, the Sub-4 wheels accelerate like nothing else, yet can still take impacts when trying out new lines. The front wheel is fully anodised while the rear has a CNC sidewall for consistent braking performance. Sub-4 Race wheels are built around hugely successful MX Series hubs. MX Series hubs all feature huge flange spacing for lateral stiffness and sealed bearings for longevity in all conditions. There are two drive options for the Sub-4 Rear wheel. MXR Supadrive hub with its instantaneous 120 point pickup Supadrive system, or MXR FW freewheel threaded hub as the simplified option which is well paired to the Halo Clickster 72 click freewheel. An ever present headache with "normal fixed hubs" is the assembly of a drive cog that is attached by a thread being pulled in both directions by the pedal torque. Of course, the traditional solution to avoiding the cog unwinding itself from the hub in the reverse direction is a left hand threaded lockring, butted up tight against the cog. Halo's DJD SS hubs have become the DJ Disc Single Speed hub of choice for many pro riders including Sam Pilgrim, Sam Reynolds, Blake Samson and Lance McDermott.Bush drive hubs have been utilised successfully in the hardcore BMX market for quite a while, and the advantages of their lighter weight and improved durability over cartridge bearings are pretty well proven, especially when using compact cog sizes. The stresses caused in a Single Speed hub can be huge and, a bush spreads the loads involved over a much larger surface area than ball bearings can achieve, and therefore helps to avoid premature bearing failure.In addition to the BD features, Halo have fitted a lightweight alloy axle with tough, replaceable, M10 "Bolt-in" Cr-Mo fixings and alloy caps. They also know that bolt-in fittings can be tricky if the axle starts to spin when turning the bolt, (as you have nothing to hold) - so Halo have also added a 6mm Hex broach deep inside the axle - just in case the axle starts to spin when you don't want it to!

Supadrive is our most advanced and reliable drive system to date. The DJD Supadrive hub is built around a bushed driver which reduces weight and improves durability over cartridge bearings especially when using compact cog sizes. Wide spoke flanges helps the DJD Supadrive hub build into uncompromisingly stiff wheel, whilst sealed bearings help ensure longevity. Features Hollow alloy axle with 6mm central hex to remove bolt in fixings without the axle spinning. Cr-Mo M10 Bolt-in fixings. 14mm adaptors included: the large surface faces of the cones allow us to also use 10-14mm adaptor washers, making this hub suitable for 10mm or 14mm dropouts. 2 sealed main body bearings and 1 hardened DU driver bush. 9,10,11,13,14,16 tooth sprockets also available.
