Halo Vapour GXC Tour 27.5" Disc Wheel

The Vapour GXC Tour wheelset has been crafted for the longest distance loaded touring adventures. Built with a 21mm internal width rim the Vapour GXC Tour wheel is ideal for touring, gravel, road plus and narrower MTB tyres. As well as a lightweight and dependable rim, the Vapour GXC Tour wheels utilise all new GXC hubs, specifically designed for the Vapour GXC wheel range. The GXC hubs feature instantaneous 120 point engagement, centre lock, sealed bearings and wide spaced flanges for increased stiffness and durability. With the increased 36 hole spoke count on these Touring optimised wheels, increased load weights are transferred directly through the wheel as spokes run parallel from one side of the rim, to the other. We have also used non-proprietary J-bend spokes to ensure should the worst happen, you have a great chance of being able to fix your wheel and carry on your adventure. Supplied pre-taped the Vapour GXC Tour wheelset is tubeless ready from the box.

These are hand built onto the dependable 30mm deep rims with very own Aero Racing bladed spokes to decrease wind resistance. Both front and rear wheels use a 16/8e lacing pattern to balance spoke tensions and withstand torque and braking forces from centre of the wheels, reducing any possible lateral flex and increase power transfer. Supplied pre-taped, Devaura Disc RD2 wheels are tubeless ready from the box. Frame & fork compatibility:     Front: 100 x 12mm thru axle system (100 x QR5/9mm available aftermarket; see Halo RD2 front hub for more info)     Rear: 142 x 12mm thru axle system (135 x QR5/10mm available aftermarket; see Halo RD2 rear hub for more info)

Halo Double Fix-G Track Hub

An ever present headache with "normal fixed hubs" is the assembly of a drive cog that is attached by a thread being pulled in both directions by the pedal torque. Of course, the traditional solution to avoiding the cog unwinding itself from the hub in the reverse direction is a left hand threaded lockring, butted up tight against the cog. But, as many riders have found out, this historic system can be relatively volatile.Halo thought... there has to be a better way: A splined hub body (with cogs that slide on) and an independent lockring... that never has to handle rotational forces from the drive."Halo's HG spline system is so obvious and brilliant that other brands must be kicking themselves for not thinking of it first: it can't slip or thread; it's way easier to fit/swap and will take down to 12t cogs, it's genius". - Ty at the Footdown (www.thefootdown.co.uk). Oct 2011 "The Fix-g hub is great! it runs smoothly as the previous Halo hub but the fact that you can move the sprocket for a perfect chainline is great and you can feel the difference straight away. Also, it's really easy to do, everyone can do it without a mechanic's help, I think you should advertise this and make it clear for everyone, people don't have to be scared of a new technology..." Halo Aerotrack 700c Rear Wheel

Tested by the couriers and track riders of the world, Halo’s Track Series has seen some of the hardest testing there is to offer. Rivals, side streets and traffic are no match for Halo’s Track Series. The Aerotrack wheels are as at home on the track as they are on the congested streets.Built with a single coloured*, aerodynamic, 14mm internally and 19.5mm external, wide rim the Aerotrack wheel can take daily abuse without issue due to their sturdy construction. Spinning on Halo’s legendary TK with Japanese sealed bearings, various rear drive options and lightweight drilled axles, the Aerotrack wheels are not only offer longevity, but great value and low weights.*The rim features a CNC machined brake wall before the colour finish is applied. It is possible to brake on this surface, but braking may be impaired by the colour coating, which will also wear away if brake pads are applied.

Halo Retro Skewers

Halo Caliber 700c Road Rim

Halo's deepest-section rim so far. 38mm Deep Aero 700c rims.   16/8E explained: The hub offers an extra wide offset left hand non drive spoke flange (to increase the A-frame type support structure of the spokes to the rim) and counter balances the, common, resulting uneven spoke tension problem by having only 8 spokes on the heavily offset side vs 16 on the almost straight dished drive side. The rim and the hub have been specially drilled to accommodate the 16/8E configuration to result in the spokes being "Evenly" spaced in the rim's circumference. All of the rear spokes are "crossed" to provide a tangential structure to spread the drive torque throughout all of the 24 spok es (rather than having some spokes in a radial configuration that are unable to effectively help transfer torque drive from the hub to the rim). Halo's theory being that if you spread the drive torque over all 24 of the rear spokes (rather than just some of the spokes on the drive side alone), then this further divides it up, and thus reduces the torque transferred to each spoke.

Halo Aero spokes and alloy nipples with 20H radial front and NEW 16/8E (24E) rear spoke system for improved lateral rigidity. Rear wheels feature the highly unusual 16/8E spoke configuration.16/8E explained:The hub offers an extra wide offset left hand non drive spoke flange (to increase the A-frame type support structure of the spokes to the rim) and counter balances the, common, resulting uneven spoke tension problem by having only 8 spokes on the heavily offset side vs 16 on the almost straight dished drive side. The rim and the hub have been specially drilled to accommodate the 16/8E configuration to result in the spokes being "Evenly" spaced in the rim's circumference. All of the rear spokes are "crossed" to provide a tangential structure to spread the drive torque throughout all of the 24 spokes (rather than having some spokes in a radial configuration that are unable to effectively help transfer torque drive from the hub to the rim).Halo's theory being that if you spread the drive torque over all 24 of the rear spokes (rather than just some of the spokes on the drive side alone), then this further divides it up, and thus reduces the torque transferred to each spoke.
