Surly ExtraTerrestrial Tyre 27.5

When you’re out on a ride the last thing you want is to be limited by your tyres in any way. Our ExtraTerrestrial Tyres were designed to let you ride without limits by simply following the only tenets we have for tyre design: they’re high volume and they kick ass. The ExtraTerrestrial tyre was meant to serve as a heavy-duty off-road touring tyre that shines on hardpack surfaces. It uses a nylon breaker in the sidewalls for cut protection, a moulded pattern for anti-cut propagation, and a Aramid cap under the tread to protect against flats. The ET Tyre uses a distinctly directional tread pattern and its width yields more traction than you might expect from a tyre with such little rolling resistance. The tread is low profile with a file tread in between tread blocks. The ExtraTerrestrial tyre has enough width and traction for the soft stuff and won’t bog you down on smooth or hard surfaces.

Surly Dirt Wizard 27.5 Tyre

Off Road 27.5 x 2.8" Mountain Bike tyres that are well suited to difficult UK conditions. The Surly Dirt Wizard is highly focused - one might even say spellbound - on providing traction and control on the kinds of surfaces where neither traction nor control are to be found. Its tread is composed of a dual row of aggressive, trail-gobbling, bevelled knobs in the centre and well-spaced, siped knobs to dig into loose corners. Designed to work on wider rims, Dirt Wizards are tall and wide, providing next-level traction and cushioning. The casings are flexible and responsive, yet durable and supportive. Minimum rim size for these naughty little wizards is a 35mm outer rim width. And if those black sidewalls aren't mesmerizing enough, we've made a grey sidewall option you can summon up. Surly Dirt Wizard tyres are also available in 29 x 2.6" size, search: Dirt Wizard 29 Tyre Or also in 'Plus' (3") sizes 27.5 x 3" and 29 x 3" Search: Dirt Wizard 27.5 Plus Tyre or Dirt Wizard 29 Plus Tyre for more information.

Surly Straggler 650b Rival 1x Gravel Road Bike

One By version of the Surly Straggler So what is this Straggler anyway? The easy answer is to say that we added disc brakes to a Cross-Check and this is close to accurate. People have asked us to make a disc version of our highly versatile Cross-Check for a long time now and almost everything about the two are very similar. Straggler is slightly different, though. The most obvious difference of course is that the Straggler has disc caliper mounts instead of rim brake studs. It'll accept rotors up to 160mm. The rear dropouts are unique, too. They're a partially closed horizontal design that accommodates singlespeed or geared drivetrains. They feature stop screws that thread in from the rear to further secure the wheel and to position the rear wheel for optimal shifting, plus a forward-mounted stop screw on the drive side to keep the wheel from slipping forward under the force of your gargantuan legs. The rear dropouts are spaced 135mm instead of 132.5mm like the Cross-Check simply because there are far more options for disc hubs in this spacing. Straggler shares all of the Cross-Check's braze-ons for fenders, racks and bottle cages. The Straggler's geometry is slightly different, with angles and tube lengths very close but not identical to the Cross-Check, but like the Cross-Check it's ready to take you just about anywhere. It's a day tripper and a weekender. It's a "rough road" road bike. It's a cyclocross bike with no pretense about racing. It's a utilitarian townie. It's a light-duty touring bike. It's an all-weather commuter. And when you get tired of one set up, you can swap parts around and turn it into something else. We think that's pretty neat. PLEASE NOTE: The Surly Straggler 1x Bike is UK specc'd by Ison and will differ from the complete bikes as shown on the US Surly site
