Aerothan is a material that completely redefines the bicycle tube: extremely light, highly puncture-resistant, and designed for the lowest rolling resistance.
Aerothan tubes are about 40% lighter compared to Schwalbe Extralight tubes made of butyl. In addition to an extremely low rolling resistance at tubeless levels and has increased puncture protection.
Aerothan tubes consist of 100% thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), including the valve, and are therefore fully recyclable. Like all Schwalbe tubes, Aerothan tubes may be returned to Schwalbe at no cost using the tube recycling program. The material of used tubes is recycled to make sealing or insulation material.
Advantages
Extremely heat resistant
Offers a stable ride even at low air pressures
Minimal rolling resistance - maximum driving dynamics
Easy mounting without slipping or jamming
Consistently light
100% Recyclable
Made in Germany
Repair and tyre pressure
Use Schwalbe Glueless Patch, classic patches do not stick to the TPU material.
No roughening required
Do not use puncture sprays
Do not use chemical cleaners
Tire pressure can be based on the recommendations for a tubeless system
Minimum pressures engraved on the Schwalbe tires are correct according to butyl tubes. These values can be undercut when using Aerothan
Check the maximum rim pressure, if it is lower than the maximum tire pressure
Intallation
When inflating the Aerothan tube outside the tire, it should not be inflated to more than 0.3 bar
Avoid over-inflation and over-rapid inflation outside the tire, as the material expands with a delay.
Inflating too quickly can lead to bubbles forming on the Aerothan tube the tube can then no longer be used
Inflation with CO2 cartridge is only recommended when fully installed
Re-installation is possible with the same or larger tire width (Note size information on the packaging)
When converting from Tubesless to Aerothan: Thoroughly clean tire and rim and remove residues of sealing milk
Aerothan tubes are compatible with rim tapes

At Triton Cycles we aim to make returns as straightforward as possible.
If you purchase an eligible item online, you have 14 days from receiving your order to notify us that you wish to cancel it. Once you have notified us, you then have a further 14 days to return the goods.
The quickest and easiest way to arrange a return is to log into your Triton Cycles account, open the relevant order and select the returns option. This records the return against your order and helps us process it more quickly when it arrives.
If you are unable to arrange your return through your account, please contact us before sending anything back.
For a full refund, products should be returned in a condition consistent with reasonable inspection and, wherever possible, complete with their original retail packaging, internal packaging, accessories, manuals and fittings.
Please do not write on manufacturer packaging, attach courier or postage labels directly to it, or use branded product packaging as the outer shipping box. Please place the product inside a suitable mailing bag or separate outer box.
If an item has been fitted, installed, used or handled beyond what would reasonably be necessary to inspect it, and this has reduced its value, we may make an appropriate deduction from the refund.
Unless an item is faulty, damaged or has been supplied incorrectly, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
If an item arrives damaged, is faulty or is not the item you ordered, please contact us before returning it. Retain all packaging and, where possible, provide photographs showing the item and any damage. In many cases we may be able to resolve an issue without requiring the complete product to be returned.
If you believe that an item may be faulty or require a warranty claim, please contact us first rather than booking it as a standard return. Our experienced team or workshop may be able to diagnose the issue remotely or advise on the quickest way to resolve it.
Lithium-ion batteries, including e-bike batteries, are subject to special transport restrictions and should not be returned using an ordinary postal or courier service without first contacting us.
Bicycles purchased online may be returned in accordance with your applicable statutory rights. Please contact us before returning a bicycle so that we can advise on the appropriate return method. Collection costs for change-of-mind bicycle returns will normally be payable by the customer.
For bicycles purchased and collected in-store, we do not accept returns simply because you have changed your mind. Exchanges on unused items may be considered at our discretion where a suitable alternative is available.
International return shipping and any reverse duties or taxes are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise agreed. Original delivery charges are not refunded where an international order is returned because customs or import charges have not been paid.
All purchases and refunds are processed in Sterling (GBP). Triton Cycles is not responsible for differences caused by exchange-rate movements or charges applied by banks or payment providers.
