About Our Finance
RETAIL FINANCE
Triton Cycles offers customers the option to apply for finance to help spread the cost of eligible purchases.
Finance is provided by Secure Trust Bank PLC trading as V12 Retail Finance. Applications are subject to status, eligibility, affordability and the lender’s approval. Terms and conditions apply.
Once your application has been accepted, you will be asked to electronically sign your credit agreement. Your finance agreement will become active once you have received your purchase, after which your monthly repayments will begin in accordance with the agreed repayment schedule.
FINANCE OPTIONS
0% APR finance is available on selected products sold at full recommended retail price, subject to a minimum purchase of £450 and a minimum deposit of 10%.
Products offered at a discounted or sale price may be eligible for interest-bearing finance at 15.9% APR representative, subject to a minimum purchase of £450 and a minimum deposit of 10%.
The finance options available for a particular product will be displayed on the relevant product page and during checkout.
Credit is subject to status and affordability. Terms and conditions apply. Applicants must be aged 18 or over and permanently resident in the UK. Minimum and maximum purchase values may apply.
Failure to maintain repayments may result in additional charges, may increase the total amount repayable and could make obtaining credit more difficult in the future.
ELIGIBILITY AND LENDING CRITERIA
To apply for finance, you must:
• Be aged 18 or over
• Be permanently resident in the UK
• Have a regular, provable income
• Be able to make repayments by Direct Debit
• Provide the information required to complete identity, affordability and creditworthiness checks
• Meet the lender’s individual lending criteria
All applications are assessed individually. Meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee that your application will be accepted.
V12 Retail Finance or Secure Trust Bank PLC may request additional information or evidence of income before making a lending decision.
INFORMATION REQUIRED
During the application process, you may be asked to provide:
• Your full name and date of birth
• Your current address and previous address history
• Your email address and telephone number
• Your employment, income and expenditure information
• Your bank account details for Direct Debit repayments
• A credit or debit card registered in your name and linked to your application address
This information may be used by the lender to verify your identity, assess affordability and creditworthiness, prevent fraud and make a lending decision.
PROCESSING YOUR APPLICATION
Many applications receive an automated decision shortly after submission. In some circumstances, an application may be referred for additional review.
Where an application is referred, the lender may contact you for further information before making a decision. Applications submitted outside the lender’s underwriting hours may not be reviewed until the next working day.
Triton Cycles does not make lending decisions and will not normally be told the detailed reason why an application has been declined.
DELIVERY AND COLLECTION
Goods purchased using V12 Retail Finance can only be delivered to the address shown on the credit agreement.
Finance orders cannot be delivered to an alternative address or collected from our store.
RETURNS, CANCELLATIONS AND YOUR CONSUMER RIGHTS
Your statutory rights are not affected by purchasing through finance.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods supplied by Triton Cycles must be:
• Of satisfactory quality
• Fit for their intended purpose
• As described
Where goods do not meet these requirements, you may have a short-term right to reject them within 30 days of receiving them and receive a refund.
This right does not apply where the issue results from fair wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, improper maintenance or a fault that was clearly disclosed before purchase.
After the initial 30-day period, you may be entitled to a repair or replacement and, in certain circumstances, a price reduction or final right to reject.
For online and other qualifying distance purchases, you may also have a separate right to cancel within 14 days without giving a reason, subject to the exclusions and conditions set out in our Returns Policy.
If a financed order is validly cancelled or returned, we will notify the finance provider and arrange for the relevant finance agreement or balance to be amended or cancelled.
You should continue to make any payments due until the lender confirms that your agreement has been changed or cancelled.
Returns remain subject to our Returns Policy and your statutory consumer rights.
WARRANTY
All new products supplied by Triton Cycles include a minimum 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects, unless a longer warranty is provided by the manufacturer.
Certain products, frames and components may include an extended or lifetime manufacturer’s warranty, subject to the manufacturer’s terms, registration requirements and exclusions.
Warranty cover is provided in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory consumer rights.
DECLINED APPLICATIONS
If your application is declined, you will be informed by the lender.
Triton Cycles does not decide whether an application is accepted and may not be given the specific reason for a decline.
Applications may be declined because of factors including:
• The lender’s eligibility or affordability criteria
• Information obtained from a credit reference agency
• Your credit history or credit score
• Your existing financial commitments
• The lender’s previous experience of accounts held by you
• Information supplied during the application process
The lender may provide details of the credit reference agency it used and information about requesting a review or correcting inaccurate information.
A previous acceptance for credit elsewhere does not guarantee that another application will be accepted, as lenders use their own assessment and lending criteria.
