Tektro

Tektro is one of the cycling industry's most established braking specialists, producing braking systems and components used on millions of bicycles worldwide. Founded in Taiwan in 1986, the company has decades of experience developing reliable braking solutions for everything from children's and commuter bikes to mountain bikes, road bikes, cargo bikes, and e-bikes.

The Tektro range covers hydraulic and mechanical disc brakes, rim brakes, brake levers, calipers, rotors, pads, and replacement components. This extensive selection makes Tektro particularly important for servicing and maintaining bikes where finding the correct original or compatible braking component is essential.

Tektro hydraulic disc brakes provide powerful, controlled braking for mountain bikes, hybrids, and increasingly capable electric bikes, while the brand's mechanical systems offer straightforward and dependable solutions for everyday cycling. Its rim brake products also remain an important option for maintaining the huge number of bikes still using traditional braking systems.

A key strength of Tektro is its experience as an original equipment manufacturer. Tektro braking systems are fitted to bikes from numerous manufacturers, meaning replacement pads, levers, calipers, rotors, and small parts are frequently required to keep existing bikes performing correctly.

Alongside Tektro, the company also operates the performance-focused TRP brand, applying its extensive braking expertise to competition and high-performance applications.

At Triton Cycles, we stock a wide range of Tektro brakes, brake pads, rotors, levers, and replacement parts. If you're unsure which component fits your existing Tektro braking system, our team can help identify the correct replacement and our Cytech-accredited workshop can assist with installation, bleeding, and servicing.
